Use of polar bear in Nissan advert
Nissan has produced an evocative TV advert for their new Leaf all-electric car, using a polar bear. It also includes a nice element of personal relationship, with the polar bear hugging the Leaf car-owner at the end of the commercial. As we have said before, using a polar bear in such advertising is likely part of a niche strategy which will appeal to Climate Citizens much more than other groups – but probably one warranted in the extremely crowded car market where the Leaf is expected to be charged at a price premium.
